Robert Dwayne Sherrell of Batavia, OH, formerly of Weston, WV, passed unexpectedly on January 27, 2025, at the age of 67. Bob was born in Ulysses, KS on June 13, 1957, to Clyde Wayne and Betty Lou (nee Unruh) Sherrell.
Beloved husband of Annette (nee Williams) Sherrell for 46 years. Cherished father of Christopher Sherrell, Bobbie (Drew) Green, and Elizabeth (Kevin) Jones. Proud papaw of Carson Sherrell, Addison Sherrell, Abigail Green, Emily Green, and Eleanor Green. Loving son of Betty Lou (Marvin) Sherrell-Mick. Dear brother James (Connie) Sherrell, Carl (Judy) Sherrell, Mike (Barbara) Sherrell and brother-in-law of Bruce Garrett. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Sherrell, and sister, Clydene Garrett.
Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge #129 in Williamstown, WV. He was a 32-degree member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He is also a member of the Nemesis Shrine Temple Parkersburg, West Virginia and for a short time, Lewis County Shrine Club in Weston, WV.
He graduated in 1976 from Lewis County High School in West Virginia. Bob worked for Allegheny Wireline/Weatherford for 37 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, gardening, and his horse farm in London, KY.
He lived in London, Kentucky for 25 years before moving to Batavia, OH, to be closer to his children.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Robert Sherrell to Mustang Journey, 7035 Edenton Pleasant Plain Road, Goshen, Ohio, 45122 or to an animal rescue of your choice.
Visitation for Robert will be held at the First Baptist Church of Glen Este on Tuesday February 18, 2025, from 6:00-7:00 PM, with service beginning at 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be at 2pm on February 19, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden in Jane Lew, WV.
Inurnment will be at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Jane Lew, WV.
