Robert Layton Cole of Lebanon, OH. Passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 53. Born on October 5, 1969, in Cincinnati, OH.

Beloved son of Sarah Fine (nee Boatright) Southerland and the late Clarence Cole. Loving brother of Steven J. Cole, Birtha (Doug) Hutchinson, Kimberly (John Burris) Cole and Chris (Janet Burton) Southerland. Proud uncle of Lori Cole, Tia Meadows, Angel (Levi) Jones, Jeremy Cole, Bethany Cole, Sarah Kailey Burris, John Michael Burris Jr., Eli Cole, Gavin Southerland and Gracelynn Southerland. Also survived by numerous relatives, many dear friends and musicians.

Rob was a legendary musician, singer and song writer. He started playing the banjo when he was five years old. His music and talents were felt by many.

Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Monday, January 23 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 12 Noon on Monday.

Interment, Goshen Cemetery.
