Robert L. Paulson was born February 26, 1932 in Loveland, Ohio. He graduated from Loveland High School, entered the service and served in the Navy aboard a destroyer during the Korean War. After his military service, he attended Miami University. In 1955, he married Edna Ann Romohr of Loveland, Ohio. In September 1961, they had a son, Robert L. Paulson II. The family became members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in 1956 Their son was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's. Robert was instrumental in the conception and construction of St. Paul Lutheran Village. In 1977, the family moved to Columbus, Ohio. They became members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Amlin, Ohio. In 1987, Robert and Ann retired and moved to Hobe Sound, Florida and became members of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart, Florida. In October 2013, Ann passed away peacefully in her sleep. In 2015, Robert remarried Marianne Soltis, also a member of Redeemer. Robert Paulson lived a very rich life, traveled extensively, hunted and fished his entire life.
