Obituary

Robert (Bob) Francis Fischer, 62, of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2025. He was born on October 23, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Robert was a devoted husband of 40 years to Tina Fischer (Miller). He was a loving father to Robert, Jacob, and Alex, and their spouses and partners, Michelle, Juanita, and Valerie. He is survived by his siblings Larry, Michael, Carol, Marie, and Thomas, and his sister-in-law, Terri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Rosemary, his father- and mother-in-law, Wilbur and Joyce, and his late uncle and aunt by marriage, Paul and Vernice. Robert adored animals, especially his dog, Ranger, his son Jacob's dog and cat, Loki and Lorenzo, and his son Alex's cats, Stinky and Lestat.

Robert lived an enormously impactful life that transcended his humble beginnings. He had a natural curiosity for building, fixing, and figuring out how things work. He used his expertise to help anyone in need with no expectation or desire for anything in return. Robert would often assist stranded travelers on the side of the road, repair cars for immediate and extended family, and do home repairs and yard work for elderly neighbors. He put the needs of others before his own, with family being the absolute center of his universe. His selfless acts of kindness were a lift and inspiration to everyone in his life.

Robert had a keen sense of humor, and was very much a kid at heart full of infectious laughter and energy. He was respected and beloved by his co-workers, who he always enjoyed sharing a joke with. Robert had a deep appreciation for classic cars and relished any opportunity to see them up close. He loved music, growing up listening to bands like Pink Floyd, the Who, and the Doors.

Above all else, Robert cherished spending time with his family. He loved going on long drives through the countryside with Tina in search of scenic views, interesting roadside attractions, local shops, and good food. He always made time to support his sons in their passions, driving all over the Midwest to catch any sporting event, live music show, or awards ceremony they were involved in.

Robert lived a simple, but fulfilling life brimming with love, generosity, and laughter. He gave more than he took and often sacrificed his own comforts in loving devotion to his family and friends. He will be sorely missed, and had an immeasurable positive effect on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

We will be honoring and celebrating Robert's life on Friday, December 26th. Visitation will be from 10am - 12pm at the Tufts Schildmeyer funeral home, which is located at 120 W. Main Street, Blanchester, OH, 45107. The funeral service will commence at 12pm, followed by a procession to his final resting place at the nearby Westboro Cemetery.
