That led to jobs as city manager of Loveland, and then assistant sanitary engineer in Clermont County. He returned to Mason as city manager in 1973, in time to help the city through the aftermath of the April 1974 tornado and growth associated with construction of Kings Island Amusement Park. Mr. Chace was a member of the Mason Community Grange #1680, Masonic Lodge of Ohio, Sycamore Presbyterian Church, Sheppard Diesel Club and American Society of Metals. He also was associate member of the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District.
