Robert "Bob" A. Bandow of Blanchester, OH. Born on August 2, 1924 in Cleveland, OH. Passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Waltraud (nee Schafer) Bandow. Loving father of Curt (Billie) Bandow of Blanchester, OH., Doris Tennant of Blanchester, OH. and Susan Barr of Blanchester, OH. Proud Opa of Richard Doug Naylor, Robert Todd Bandow, Katie Tennant, Aaron "Scooter" Tennant and Michael Isaac Barr. Caring great-grandfather of Brant, Bryce, Brett and Bryan Bandow, Kelsey, Samantha and Natalie Naylor, Ciara Acuff, Chloe and MJ Barr. Devoted uncle of Neil and Dale Howk. Dear brother of the late Dorothy Howk and Raymond Bandow. Cherished son of the late Charles and Anna (nee Zardin) Bandow. Bob proudly served in the United States Army during World War II, Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from the Army after serving 20 years in 1963. He then worked for the IRS for 16 years. Bob was a member of the Blanchester Seniors, Blanchester F.O.E #2222, Blanchester American Legion Post #179, and the 78th Infantry Division Association. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 15, 6 PM to 8 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, where services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 10 AM. Interment with military honors, Blanchester I.O.O.F Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Bob Bandow to the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley, 215 Hughes Blvd. Mt.
