Robert Bentley, 90, of Midland, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Bethesda North Hospital Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

He was born on December 22, 1932, in Hazard, KY. Robert was the youngest of eleven children born to John and Eva (Franklin) Bentley. He lived in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia before deciding to settle in Ohio. He was a Veteran that served his country in the Army during the Korean War. A Journeyman Plumber and Pipefitter by trade. Robert also worked as a coal miner, truck driver, and farmer. He married the love of his life Patricia E. (Hatch) on August 30, 1959. Robert was a hardworking, self-made, jack of all trades man that was devoted to his family. He loved to hunt, farm, and ride around in his Gator.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jacqueline A. (Steven) Collins and Tresa A. (Clay) Carman; two sisters, Nora V. Leitch and Dahlia Mae Quillen; one sister-in-law, Patsy (Raymond) Bentley.

Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, and a grandson Clint Curtis Carman; brothers, Ocie, James, Beecher, Claude, and Raymond Bentley; sisters, Lola Back, Dorothy Prater, and Nancy Johns.

Friends will be received from 10am to 12pm on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio.

The graveside service with military honors will be held at Westboro Cemetery, Jefferson Township following the visitation.
