Rita Kay (Warman) Werner, age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8th, 2025 surrounded by family and close friends.
Born in Newport, Kentucky, on August 23, 1941, Rita was the daughter of the late Lester Warman, Wanita (nee McPherson) Warman, and stepdaughter of the late Patricia Warman. She was raised in Branch Hill, Ohio, lived in Loveland most of her life, and graduated from Loveland High School in 1959. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Werner. Rita was a devoted mother to Kim Grande and the late Terry Grande, and a beloved grandmother to Amanda Grande, Chelsea (Jordan Mericle) Grande, Eleesha and Ariel Werner, Matt Crider, Stacie Galvin, and Megan Crider, and great-grandmother to Casey Ward and Andrea Mackenzie. Rita was a dear sister to Carol Lee (Richard) Ward, the late Glenda Mae (Marvin) Marcum, a sister in law to Donald Grande, and a very close friend of Bill Adkins. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and many dear friends.
Throughout her life, Rita was known for her kindness, generosity, dedication to her family and friends, and her feisty, playful spirit. Rita retired from Stagge Enterprises after many years of working as an Accounting Manager. Rita loved camping, boating, water skiing, traveling, and playing cards. She also looked forward to getting together with her classmates and close friends every Wednesday for lunch over the last several years, reminiscing over memories and making new ones. Rita was a faithful member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Milford, Ohio. The family would like to thank Mimi's House for their compassion and sincere care provided to Rita and her family. Rita will be greatly missed and remembered by all.
Friends will be received from 10 am - 12 pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 North Riverside Drive, Loveland, Ohio where services will follow at 12 pm on Tuesday. The interment will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 720 East Pete Rose Way, Suite 330, Cincinnati, OH 45202, or Queen City Hospice, 4605 Duke Drive #220, Mason, OH 45040.
