IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rick
Mcdonough
September 27, 1967 – June 2, 2023
On June 2, 2023, Rick McDonough (55) passed away peacefully with his wife, Monique, and his son, Dan, at his side.
Rick had an incredibly infectious personality that impacted the lives of everyone he met. He was smart, quick-witted, and would do anything to make you laugh. His resilience and determination to overcome adversity with a smile was an inspiration to all those that knew him. While raising two young kids, Rick worked a full-time job by day and put himself through college by night. He went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Mount St. Joseph University, and shortly after became a Certified Public Accountant. During his career he worked for numerous companies, sharpening his skills, until he eventually founded two CPA firms of his own.
Rick was a natural leader and he used his entrepreneurial spirit to encourage everyone to be the best version of themselves. He truly never met a stranger, and was always the life of the party. He had a heart of generosity and a spirit of exuberance. The memories of joy that Rick has left behind will forever live in the hearts of his loved ones and friends. His legacy will carry on forever reminding us to laugh often, love unconditionally, and fearlessly chase after your dreams.
Rick was the loving husband of Monique Desalvo McDonough. Beloved father of Daniel (Hayden) McDonough and Timothy McDonough. Adored Grandfather of Wesley McDonough. Cherished Son of Jim McDonough and Barbara Thomas. Dear brother of Regina (Gary) Hamilton and Chris Thomas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 16th at Montgomery Community Church (11251 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249). Visitation will be from 4pm to 6:30pm and Pastor Phil Posthuma will hold a service from 6:30pm to 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for donations to be made to Stepping Stones, Inc ., in memory of Rick.
