IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard "Rick" Jay
Homan
December 21, 1957 – April 15, 2023
Rick Homan, 65, of Beattyville, Kentucky and formerly of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his father Hubert Homan; an infant sister, Kim Homan; his parental grandparents, John and Lillian Homan; and his maternal grandparents, George and Catherine Romohr.
Rick is survived by his mother, Kay Homan of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers, Tim (Jen Woodland) Homan of Maineville, Ohio and Jeff (Lisa) Homan of Blanchester, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Curt (Kristen) Homan, Steve (Shelley) Homan, Diana (Cory Jeffries) Homan, Kristy (Arjun Jani) Homan, Lilly Homan, and Mallory (Quintyn Greer) Homan; several great nieces and nephews.
Rick lived in the Winchester and Beattyville, Kentucky area for over 30 years and developed a great friendship with Bill and Marilyn Stamper and Don Bridges.
He graduated from Clinton Massie High School in 1976. He served in the U.S. Army Combat Engineers from 1979 to 1982. Rick worked at Contech in Winchester, Kentucky for over 20 years. He was a devoted son to his mother and father. Rick drove over six hours to and from Beattyville, Kentucky every other weekend to visit and help his parents for over 30 years.
He loved his freedom and to be outside in the hills of Kentucky. Rick would frequently go hunting with Bill Stamper, hike and walk. He also enjoyed golfing. Rick had a standing tee-time every Wednesday to golf with his friend, Don Bridges year-round.
Rick will be remembered by his family and friends as a man of very few words, but a big heart. If you ever needed help, he would always be there, and he never asked for anything in return.
Rick was passionate about reading his entire life; therefore in lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made, in his name, to the Clinton County Literacy Foundation, 88 Country Manor Dr, Wilmington, Ohio 45177 and/or a library of your choice.
