Loving father of Connie (Jim) Helms, David (Jo Ann) Purnell, Tom (Sherry) Purnell, Debbie (Dr. John) McCall, Theresa (Mark) Tipton, Jan (Tim) Lowery, Jodi Webb, Kim (Chuck) Curran, and the late Kenneth Purnell. Proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers, James Purnell and Donald Purnell; and grandson, Kippy Gideon. Passed away peacefully on February 20, 2016 at the age of 88.
