Richard "Dick" Joseph Nist , of Maineville, Ohio, beloved husband of Mary passed away peacefully Monday, April 6th, 2009. While the end came far too soon for those who loved him, we rest in the comfort that his positive influence in the world lives on through his children and grandchildren. Born in Cleveland in 1939 of the late Edward and Grayce (Weigler) Nist. Dick received a bachelor's degree in engineering at the University of Dayton and MBA from Xavier University. Soon after college, he met Mary Holmes and became a devoted husband for the next 46 years. Together they had five children, Cheryl (Craig) Klinker, Kim (Chris) Chubbuck, Scott (Michelle) Nist, Michelle (Jason) Moorman, and Diana (Deceased). Dick is also survived by three sisters, Nan (David) Kelly, Fran (Jim) Hippler and Phyl (Dan) Gregan. Throughout his life, Dick took great pride in his work, managing products involved in the Gemini Space program, and Space Shuttle programs. Our "Rocket Scientist" retired in 2003 from Cincinnati Electronics and kept busy at church, on his neighborhood board, on the golf course and in the important role as Grandfather to fourteen: Lindsay, Chelsea, Joseph, Tyler, Zachary, Hunter, Alexandr, Max, Brinley, Cassidy, Trevor, Grayce, Katy, and Caleb. His legacy of hard work, faith, and unconditional love for his family lives on through these children and the many nieces, nephews, family members, friends and all those who had the blessing of knowing him. Memorial donations in memory of Dick may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati.
