Richard J. "Curly" Rose Jr. of Blanchester, OH was born on May 10, 1923 to Richard Hume Rose and Nora Elizabeth (nee Moye) Rose and passed away on May 9, 2016 at the age of 93. Richard was a WWII Navy Veteran in the South Pacific and an Army Veteran. He retired as a truck driver for McLean Trucking in Cincinnati. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marilee (nee Moye) Rose; children, Lora (David T.) Smith, Pamela S. Colliver, Richard J. Rose Jr., Rex Allen (Kim) Rose and John Wesley (Tracy) Rose; grandchildren, Kelly Ann Smith, Matthew "Matt" Keammerer, Josette Rose, Julie Ann Truett, Jason N. Smith and John Richard "JR' Rose; 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nicole "Nikki" LeClaire and siblings, James, Paris and Alice. Friends and family will be received from 5-7 PM on Thursday May 12, 2016 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107.
