Beloved husband for over 60 years of Naomi E. (nee Marshall) Downing, loving father of David (Joyce) Downing of Point Pleasant, W.VA., Deborah (Bob) Calhoun of Loveland, OH, and Daniel (Marilyn) Downing of Lexington, N.C., proud grandfather of Dixie (Andy) Parriman, Donna, Diana, and David Millard Downing, Landon Calhoun, Lasha (Anthony) Day, Leighton Calhoun, Dana Downing, Danelle (Thomas) Lilly, and Daniel Millard and DeLinda Downing, dear great grandfather of Brayden Day. Rev. Downing was born on Slaty Hollow Farm at the headwaters of the Mad River, Zanesfield, OH. He preached the gospel for over 65 years.
