Raymond "Ray" Fowler, passed away August 11, 2015, at the age of 73. Son of the late Nellie and Walter Fowler. Ray is survived by his eternally beloved wife Woodene and his two sons Scott of Cincinnati and Steve (Shelby), and grandchildren Ethan and Ella (Springville, UT), brother Matt Fowler, sisters Eulene Donathan, Jenny Harris, and Lisa Early, as well as so many other family and friends who think so dearly of him. "You meet Ray and you feel you've known him your whole life."
Ray accomplished so much during his life, but he would count among his greatest accomplishments his family, finding the gospel of Jesus Christ, and 52 years of marriage to Woodene, and, above all, enduring to the end. Ray retired in 2006 from Parker Aerospace, where he spent most of his 30 year career servicing GE Evendale. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years and graduated from Miami University.
Ray was the best dad, husband, grandpa and friend we could hope for always taking the opportunities throughout life to comfort and strengthen others. We know Ray is in a better place with loved ones awaiting the celebration of our eternal reunion one day.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8250 Cornell Rd., Montgomery on Friday, August 14 at 11:30 a.m., where friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Cincinnati or to Best Friends Animal Society.
