Raymond "Ray" Groene of Cincinnati, OH, passed away October 12, 2025, at the age of 95. Beloved husband of 69 years to Beverly Groene (nee Busch). Devoted father of Karen (Michael) Haggerty, Kevin (Judy) Groene, Carol (Mike) Brown, and Chris (Amy) Groene. Cherished grandfather of Alexandra Haggerty, Brian (Katie) Haggerty, Matthew Groene, Kurtis Groene, Nicholas Groene, David (Maggie) Brown, Katie Brown, Michael Brown, and Zachary Groene. Loving great-grandfather of Leah and Aspen. Caring brother of the late Charles Groene, Ruth Bonfield, Stan Groene, and Marybelle Hoernschemeyer.

Ray was born August 30, 1930, to the late Charles and Stella Groene. He graduated from Elder High School in 1948. He then earned a Bachelors in Business Administration at Xavier University in 1952. After college, Ray was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1952 to 1954 during which he was stationed in Trieste, Italy. Following his time in the Army, Ray began working for General Electric, eventually working his way up to becoming a District Manager in the Appliance Division. In 1991, he retired from G.E. after 33 years of dedicated service. After retirement, he spent his time playing golf, traveling, and enjoying time with his grandchildren.
