Ray A. Meyer, beloved husband of Barbara Ann Meyer (Nee Ax) for 61 years, died peacefully surrounded by family members on Friday December 11, 2020. Loving father of Michael (Mary), John (Amy) and Barb (Ray Solinski). Proud grandpa to Justin, Tony, Joshua, Nick, Eddie, Brad, Molly, Nathan, Martha, Sam, and Ben. Great Grandpa to Danny and Josie Lou. Ray was 86 years old. He also survived by brothers Jim (Rennie) and Bob (Kathleen). He attended St Gertrude School in Madeira where he was a lifelong parishioner, Purcell High School (Class of 52) and graduated with honors from Xavier University (Class of 56) where he also was a member of the golf team. Founded the Ray Meyer Sign Company in 1956 with his father. The company is now in its 4th generation. Ray was an avid lifelong golfer and loved his second home on Hilton Head Island. He spent many happy days watching his grandkids numerous sports activities and Xavier Basketball. A celebration of life will be planned for Summer 2021.
