Randy L. Forbes, Sr. of Pleasant Plain. Beloved husband of 42 years to Teresa L. Forbes. Cherished father of Randy L. (Erin) Forbes, Jr., Rebecca (Tyler White) Forbes and his bonus daughter Samie (Jason St. John) Lawson. Proud Papaw of Bailey, Brenden, Hayden, Riley, and Lincoln. Dear son of the late Florence Hutchinson. Nephew of the late Edward Forbes, cousin to Terry Gilkison. Dear friend and mentor to many. Passed away February 9, 2023, at the age of 66.

Randy owned and operated Diesel Recon Service Inc. for over 41 years, and his last moments were at his shop. Randy enjoyed rebuilding and selling heavy duty transmissions. Randy was very proud of the young mechanics that worked with him over the years. With his guidance, they grew to be successful Diesel mechanics and business owners or shop managers.

Randy succeeded in everything he set out to do. He coached his daughter's intramural basketball team for 4 years. His true passion was Bass fishing. Randy fished BFL and FLW tournaments locally and statewide. He found peace and solace while on the water. In later years, he loved to feed his fish and spend time at his pond fishing with his grandchildren. Randy was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be forever missed.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 26 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where a Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM.

A Celebration of Life will follow from 3-6 PM at the Loveland Eagles, 127 N. Karl Brown Way, Loveland.
