It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Randy Brooks, a wonderful man who touched the lives of all who knew him. Randy passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2024.

Born in Hamilton, OH on July 28, 1956, Randy received his undergraduate degree from Miami University, and a Master's degree from the University of Dayton. His dedication and passion for his work led him to a highly successful career, but it was his kindness and generosity that defined him most.

Randy was the absolute best partner to his beloved wife Helena. Their relationship was a testament to true love and companionship, marked by mutual respect, support, and an enduring sense of humor.

In addition to his professional achievements, Randy was always engaged in various projects around the house and yard, showcasing his creativity and meticulous nature. He had a profound affection for music and great love for the outdoors, whether hiking trails at state parks or working outside in the yard. He had a remarkable ability to make any space feel warm and inviting. His great sense of humor brought joy and laughter to everyone around him, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of his company.

Randy was a selfless individual, always willing to lend a hand and help those in need. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his wife, Helena, his sons Evan and Colin Brooks, stepchildren Michael Lawson (Micaela) and Allie Lawson (Joe Alverson), and many family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He is predeceased by his parents and son Noah. Randy defined what it is to live a decent life of kindness, love and support, and his memory will be cherished forever.

The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made 4 Paws for Ability in Randy's honor.
