IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Polly Parker
West
March 19, 1941 – January 10, 2025
Our mother, Polly Parker West passed away on January 10th, 2025. She was born on March 19th, 1941, to Thomas Daniel Parker, and Eunice Varney Parker in Kimper Kentucky. Preceding her in death include her parents and brothers Walter Berry "Butch" (Janet) Parker and Charles (Nancy) Parker. She is survived by brother Teddy "Buck" (Vicki) Parker, sisters Grace (Hatler) Slone, Ruth (Doug) Manning, and Ann (Ken) Slone. She was a loving mother to Aleasia (Jerry) Salzl, and Angela (Eric) Strand. She loved being a grandmother to Natasha (Matthew) Beilinson, Garrett (Kelsey) Strand, Rachel (Andrew) Eagan, Alaina Strand, and Jacob (Elise) Salzl. Great grandchildren included her "fine looking boys" Luka and Nicholas Beilinson, Lily Eagan, Nathan and Emma Salzl. She also leaves behind multiple nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She gave us all a gift of so many wonderful memories.
Mom worked multiple factory jobs during her life to support herself and her two girls. She retired and moved to Cincinnati at the age of 62 so she could be close to her girls and grandchildren. In Cincinnati she worked part time at Oak Hills in the cafeteria until age 72.
Mom was a member of the Old Regular Baptist faith. Aleasia and I have many fond memories of getting up early to travel to New Mount Olive Regular Baptist church in Southshore Kentucky. We had to grab McDonald's breakfast on the way and would sometimes stop for lunch on the way home. On the way there we would be listening to Old Regular Baptist singing on a CD and she would be singing with them. She also loved singing Old Regular Baptist songs with her brother Buck and sister Grace.
It is hard to put into words how much she will be missed. She taught us strength, faith, courage, and love. We know that she is resting in God's arms and are so very thankful that she is no longer suffering. Rest easy Mom and we will "see you in the morning".
Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 17 from 4:30 - 6 PM in the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland, where funeral services will follow at 6 PM. Interment Bridgetown Cemetery.
