Polly Joyce (nee Barre) Shafer of Newtonsville, OH. Born on August 18, 1943 in Cincinnati, OH. Died peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2015, age 71. Beloved wife of Milton Shafer. Loving mother of Kelly Shafer, Mike Shafer, Michelle Shafer and Danielle (Bryan) Norris. Proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Julie Crank Ortiz, Tad Books and the late Jay Books, Clifford Jones, Walter Nipper and Robert Farson. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Services will be held on Thursday, February 19, 7:30 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where friends will be received from 6 PM until the time of service. Fr. Michael Cordier of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church will be the priest for Polly's services.
