Phyllis L. (nee Smith) McCarty of Milford, OH. Born on May 20, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH. Passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Roy Edward McCarty. Loving mother of Cheryl (Glenn) Rutter, Gayle (David) Robinson and Kelly (Thomas) Wuest. Caring grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Charlene Shifflet and Hazel Rutter. Cherished daughter of the late Alfred John and Hazel M. (nee Girand) Smith. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where friends will be received from 1 PM until the time of service.
