Paula J. Hannum passed away August 22, 2026, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Charles L. Hannum, Jr. Devoted mother of Micki (Todd) Hoffman and Tammy (Kent) Johnson. Cherished grandmother of Ryan (Lara) Johnson, Mark (Cindy) Johnson, Amy (Jon) Julien, and Brandon Culp. Caring great-grandmother of Abby, Hannah, Vera, Claire, and Isabelle.

Paula was born in Cleveland, Ohio and spent all but the last 2 months of her life in NE Ohio. She earned her college degree in Home Economics at Baldwin-Wallace and taught home ec in high school before becoming a full-time homemaker. Once her children were of school age, she went back to school and earned a degree in teaching and went on to teach Kindergarten for 30 years, most of them in Stow, Ohio. She touched many lives during those years and the ones that followed, as well, through her many volunteer activities through her church, Open M, and as a Guardian ad Litem for the courts.

She loved her cottage at Lakeside and succeeded in her purpose of having it bring the family together for vacations. The legacy of Lakeside will continue on for another generation, at least, thanks to her efforts to introduce her great grandchildren to a place they now also love.

She was always active in many social groups and loved by many good friends. Her weekly pinochle card game was a highlight of her week the past few years, as well as meeting with teacher friends she had known for decades. Our gratitude to her many kind friends.
