Paul V. Lyons of Goshen, Ohio went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 25, 2025, at the age of 96. Paul was born on March 5, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Howard and Mildred Lyons.

Paul was the beloved husband of 56 years to the late Evelyn "Gerry" (nee Barnett) Lyons, loving step-father of the late Robert Reynolds, dear brother of the late Howard Lyons, cherished son of the late Howard Carter and Mildred Marie (nee Robinson) Lyons, proud uncle of Charlotte (late Bill) Christman, Sandi (late Gilbert) Preston, William Lyons, Crystal (Earl) McIntosh, Tom Lyons, Tim (Rose) Lyons, and the late Tonia Lyons and Wayne Lyons. He is also survived by four step grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, numerous great nieces and nephews, relatives, and many dear friends.

Paul grew up in Glencoe, KY. He proudly served in the United States Army as a military policeman. He retired from Matlack Trucking Co. after 33 years. Paul was a faithful member of Edenton Baptist Church, where he was often found working around the church.

The family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Paul Lyons to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Friends will be received on Saturday, August 30, from 10-11am at the Edenton First Baptist Church, 6655 Edenton-Pleasant Plain Rd, Pleasant Plain, where a service will begin at 11am. Paul will receive full military honors at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford. Pastor Sean Paulson will be officiating.
