Paul E. Gates, 88, of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2017. He is survived by his children, Debbie (Lee) Lewis, Susan Gates, Tom Gates, and Barb Frye; grandchildren, Holly, Michelle, Alex, Ricky, Samantha, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kaden, and Lennon. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Gates; parents, George A. and Irene J. Gates; sisters, Irene, Joan, Shirley, and Ruth; brothers, George, Robert, Ed, Elmer, Dick, Ray, and Al. Friends will be received from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio 45107. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Holy Name Chapel, 746 S S.R. 133, Blanchester, Ohio 45107.
