Patrick L. Montgomery, beloved husband of Suzanne R. (nee Fleischer) Montgomery, loving father of Elizabeth R. Montgomery (Angee Meen) and Matthew P. Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 3rd, 2016 at the age of 61. Son of Edmund C. Montgomery and the late Barbara J. Montgomery. Brother of Jay Montgomery (Karen) of NY, Dirk Montgomery (Caprice) of FL and Susan Carroll (Bill) of Liberty Township. He will be dearly missed by his wife's family and his many nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Sycamore HS, Morehead State University, and received his M.Ed. from Xavier University. The Sycamore community and schools were his great love. He grew up in the community and after graduating from college, he returned to teach at Sycamore Junior High realizing his life-long dream of teaching science and coaching young people in sports, especially football, wrestling and girls' track. As a coach, he was honored by Sycamore Athletic Hall of Fame and by the Sycamore Junior High Athletic Dept. Coaches Hall of Fame. His legacy is the many lives he touched in the classroom, on the mat, and on the field. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 12 at 3 PM at Sycamore Presbyterian Church, 11800 Mason Rd., Cincinnati 45249, where friends will be received from 2 PM until time of service.
