Patricia (née Brinkman) Burbee, age 86, of Loveland, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026.
Patricia was the beloved wife of 65 years to the late Raymond Burbee. She was a devoted and loving mother to Joseph (Deanne) Burbee, Anne (Gregory) Engelhard, and Edward Burbee, and a cherished grandmother to Maggie Engelhard, Gregory Engelhard II, Jack Burbee, and Henry Burbee. Her family was her greatest pride and joy. Patricia also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Hazel, who brought her tremendous comfort and happiness right up until the end.
She was the dear sister of Barbara (the late Walt) Kramer and the late Richard (Dorothy) Brinkman, John (Emma) Brinkman, Jerry (Barbara) Brinkman, Thomas (Thelma) Brinkman, James (Joyce) Brinkman, Paul Brinkman, and Ronald Brinkman. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Lucille Brinkman and Janet Brinkman, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A woman ahead of her time, Patricia helped form what is now T-Ball for little girls in Loveland, creating opportunities for young girls to play and grow in the sport. She was known for her unmistakable “what you see is what you get” attitude — honest, genuine, and refreshingly direct. People always knew where they stood with Pat, and they loved her for it.
She cherished her winters in South Padre Island, looked forward to Friday evenings at Montgomery Inn, and never passed up a chance to visit Krombholz Jewelers. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — music, dancing, laughter, and gathering with the people she loved. Patricia loved to harmonize as she sang her favorite songs, filling rooms with warmth and spirit. She was always ready for a good time and could often be found enjoying a glass of her favorite “Josh.”
Patricia will be remembered for her strong spirit, her authenticity, and the way she made every gathering just a little more fun. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the many lives she touched.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 21 from 4:00–7:00 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave., Loveland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 23 at 12:00 PM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd., Cincinnati. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Throughout her life, Patricia faithfully supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The mission of caring for children and families in their most difficult moments held a deeply special place in her heart, and she gave generously for many years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
