Vernon Lee McFarland "Brother Mac" of Fayetteville, OH. Born July 26, 1934 in Font Hill, KY near Russell Springs, KY and passed away February 22, 2013 in Blanchester, OH at the age of 78. He was the loving husband of 56 years to the late Wanda Lee (nee Kuntzman) McFarland; dear father of Joseph (Pam) McFarland of Fayetteville, OH, Michael (Lois) McFarland of Milford, OH, Deborah McElfresh of Blanchester, OH, and Sarah McFarland of Green Twp., OH; proud grandfather of 12 grandchidren and 3 great-grandchildren; dear son of the late Brent G. and Audie Velma (nee Brown) McFarland; beloved brother of Kathleen Pittman and Ruth Pearson and the late Lily Velma McFarland, the late Brent Converd McFarland and the late Alfred Ray McFarland. Vernon was a Pastor at the Woodville Baptist Church, and the New Testament Church in multiple locations. He was also a devoted member of the Butlerville Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and crossword puzzles. He was a devoted member of the Crownsmen Quartet, and the Representatives, both Southern Gospel Quartets and was a Journeyman Carpenter, General Contractor (Building Houses) Friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Butlerville Baptist Church, 8460 St. Rt. 132 Pleasant Plain, OH 45162 with Pastor Joe McFarland officiating.
