Opa Thacker, 87, of, Goshen, Ohio, passed away June 21, 2015. He was born April 2, 1928 in Canada, KY, son of the late Willie and Katharine (nee Blackburn) Thacker. He was the beloved husband of Allene (nee Green) Thacker; loving father of Joseph (Jane) Thacker, Mark (Sherrie) Thacker, and Beverley (Jeff) Carter; Proud grandfather of Jeffrey Carter, Jeremy Carter, Bradley Thacker, John Thacker, Jennifer Landrum, Elizabeth Roney, Jessica Santangelo, Samantha Blake, and Laura Kline; Great- Grandfather of Sydney Thacker, Caiden Carter, Eli Landrum, Harper Landrum, Maison Carter, Allan Roney, Alexandria Roney, Eden Thacker, Brady Carter, Kaylee Thacker, and Daylin Kline; Brother of Eugene Thacker, Mary Banks, and John Thacker. Opa was preceded in death by his siblings, Irving Thacker, Ida Thacker Runyon, Myrtle Thacker, Opal Thacker, Albert Thacker, Everett Thacker, Ruth Edmiston, Marie Kirby, Lester Thacker, and Alice Ann Thacker. The funeral service will take place Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 12pm at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28 Goshen, Ohio 45122, where friends will be received from 10am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
