Olan Dempsey Engle of Batavia, OH, went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on April 4, 2026, at the age of 68. Olan was born on August 25, 1957, in Cincinnati, OH. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Glenna Katherine (nee Taylor) Engle, loving son, Scott (Erica) Engle, two proud grandchildren, Oakley Engle and Brantley Engle, and dear sister, Lisa Engle. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives, and many dear friends. Olan is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar “Eddie” and Jeraldean (nee Proffitt) Engle and one brother, Alan Engle. 

Olan had a deep love for hunting and fishing and cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. One of his favorite places was Norris Lake in Tennessee, where he enjoyed many special moments. Olan was a proud member of the Owensville Coon Hunters Club. He was a constant source of encouragement, support, and advocacy for his son, Scott. He was proud of all his son’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments.
