IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nicholas L.
Bloom
December 18, 1988 – September 6, 2025
Nicholas "Nick" Langsdon Bloom, age 36, of Loveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on the morning of September 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous two-year battle with brain cancer.
Born on December 18, 1988, in Louisville, Kentucky, Nick lived a life marked by deep love, unwavering resilience, and a bold sense of purpose. He was a devoted husband, proud father, loyal son and brother, and beloved friend whose impact on others was as steady as it was far-reaching.
Nick graduated from Xavier University and built a successful career in sales with PepsiCo (Frito Lay), recently celebrating 10 years with the company. Alongside his career, he cherished the life he built with his wife, Kara Ann (Marcello) Bloom. The two shared seven years of marriage, living in Texas, California, and Ohio as they grew their family and pursued their dreams
together.
Nick found immense joy and pride in being a husband, father, and provider for who he lovingly called "his girls": Kara Ann and their two daughters, Sage Jeter (5) and Kobe Jade (3). He was happiest when he was making memories with his family and friends.
He will be remembered for his fierce love of family, faith, and country. He was deeply connected to his Catholic faith, especially following his pilgrimage to Lourdes, France. A proud patriot, Nick's admiration for the U.S.A. ran deep, and he took pride in having two brothers serve in the U.S. Army. In his honor, friends and family are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to the services.
Nick's vibrant spirit shined through in his many passions. He was an avid fan of OSU football, the Cincinnati Bengals, and all things fitness—especially CrossFit, running, and staying active. He loved Graeter's ice cream, Servatii's white cake, and had a special admiration for Kobe Bryant, after whom he and Kara Ann named their youngest daughter.
Nick is survived by his loving wife, Kara Ann, and their daughters, Sage and Kobe. He is also survived by his father, Joe Bloom and mother, Mary Bloom, and his siblings: Alex Bloom and wife Claire, Will Bloom and wife Becca, Maddie Taylor and husband Brent, Ben Bloom and wife Anna.
He is also lovingly remembered by his in-laws, Steve and Diane Marcello, and Kara Ann's siblings, Rhiannon and Trevor Simes, and Juliette Marcello. He was a beloved "Uncle Nick" to his many nieces and nephews from the Bloom and Marcello families - who enjoyed chanting "Uncle Nick, Uncle Nick" when they greeted him.
And always by his side was his loyal companion and furry best friend, Oliver Bloom, who brought him joy and comfort.
Nick made friends wherever he was and he is survived by countless friends from his childhood, college, work, Crossfit and other groups.
Nick's legacy will live on through every life he touched, the love he poured into his family, and the strength he modeled for us all.
Kara Ann and the girls are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from their community throughout the past two years. Your prayers, presence, and kindness have meant more than words can say.
