Mrs. Nancy J Clark passed away in McDonough, GA on Sept 21, 2015 at the age of 78.
Mrs. Clark is predeceased by her daughter Cheryl M. Clark of Key West, FL and a sister Billie Tedder of Alabama.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Charles R. Clark. They were married by Charles' father, Rev. Walter F. Clark, at home in Carthage, OH on January 23, 1954. Also her brother Danny and Rose Marie of Florida.
Nancy is lovingly remembered by her son, Charles R. Clark II and his wife Karen, and her daughter, Carolyn (CJ) Clark and her partner Cathie McBeth, all of Georgia.
She was born in Cincinnati, OH on October 29, 1936, completed her GED and subsequently graduated with her Associate's degree from Auburn Community College, NY, in 1968. After graduation, Nancy worked at Goulds Pumps of Seneca Falls, NY for a short time until dedicating her energies to her family.
She was a loving wife who accompanied her husband through many job transfers across the eastern US, from OH to NY to NJ to GA. Nancy was very involved with her children's PTA organization and conservative politics in upstate NY.
Nancy's passion was genealogy; specifically the tracing of the Clark family lineage. As a result of her research, she traced her husband's lineage to one of the First Families of Hamilton County, OH, as well as ???? Clark who was appointed by then President Thomas Jefferson to explore the new Louisiana Purchase and join the Atlantic to the Pacific oceans. She performed much of her research at the LDS Church, where she was a much beloved volunteer.
Nancy was a researcher and a planner. For family vacations she researched and contacted state representatives and senators many months in advance for access to locations that were available only by secured request, therefore providing her family a rare opportunity to view many of our country's treasures.
