Mildred Irene (nee Jones) Glancy, 86, of Milford, Ohio, passed away on April 19, 2015. She was born May 22, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of James William Houston Jones and Ada (nee Dooley) Jones. She was the beloved wife of William Gordon Glancy, Jr., loving mother of Ellen Marie (Edward Paul) Lafferty and Jeffrey Allen (Jan Dee) Glancy, proud grandmother of Stephanie Lynn Wethington and Shannon Lee Glancy, and dear sister of Helen Marie Smith. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and siblings James Calvin Jones, Florence Courter, Willa Wolfe, Dorothy Ellen Burger, and John Jackson Jones. She was a teacher in the Goshen school district and assisted her husband in managing Glancy's Hardware in Goshen, Ohio. Playing bridge was a favorite pastime. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at Milford First United Methodist Church.
