Obituary

Michael S. Molzberger, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on February 15, 2023, age 67. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Michael served for two years in the U.S. Army before attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Professionally, the Maineville, OH, resident took pride in establishing a standard of excellence in the automotive industry, spending time in the early 80s at Montgomery AMC/Jeep/Renault; in '88 as Sales Manager at Grueninger Oldsmobile/GMC/Zimmer; and as General Sales Manager from '88-'89 at Heritage Oldsmobile Cadillac and '89-'90 Borcherding Buick. Following that, he joined the Kenwood Dealer Group, where he became the Executive General Manager in 1991. An award-winning GM and Executive GM, Mike was always willing to share his knowledge with others and, throughout his 46-year career, he mentored many who followed in his footsteps.

Affectionately dubbed "Toad" by his friends and family, Mike was the life of the party, well-known for his entertaining stories (sometimes re-told many times over.) He loved his family, his country, golf—he was a longtime member of the Wetherington Country Club—hunting, fishing, traveling, good food (and a good Dewar's Scotch), the Green Bay Packers, Rolling Stones, collecting guns and antiques (and more) and the occasional trip to the casino. He was a generous supporter of charitable organizations, including the Melanoma Know More Foundation and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Valentine Joseph Molzberger Jr.; mother, Therese Marie Molzberger; and brother, Valentine Joseph (Anne) Molzberger III; along with Mike's first wife, Aurelia Danielle ("Dani") Molzberger, and his late wife, Deborah Lee Molzberger. Beloved brother to Victor J. Molzberger. Loving father to Todd (Angie) Mason, Melodie (Wayne) Couch, Keith Estave, Tami (Kelly) Hoffman, Pepper (Greg) Plowman, Jeff Huber, and Tara Molzberger (deceased). Dear grandfather to Wyatt and Waylon Mason, Savana and Cole (Kenzie) Couch, Amanda (Chris) Neabrey, Christine (Paul) Shroyer, Tricia Plowman, Tracy Plowman, and Stephanie Plowman, and Jenny Huber (deceased)—and 14 great-grandchildren.
