Michael “Mike” John Taylor, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, at the age of 69. He was born on July 7, 1957.
Mike believed life was meant to be lived with adventure. He had a love of riding motorcycles, theme parks with his family, trips to the beach and even tried skydiving and driving a race car. He loved watching football and NASCAR and loved going to many of the local festivals. He never passed up an opportunity to have fun, try something new and make a memory.
More than anything, Mike loved his family. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends but especially being around his grandkids. He loved watching them in their sports and activities and would often bounce between two games a day just so they all knew their Grandpa/Papaw was there watching them.
Mike will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of family, his sense of fun and the countless memories we have all created with him along the way.
Mike leaves behind his wife of 3 years, Debra “Debbie” Taylor, his sister, Linda Warden, his 5 children - Amanda Harm, April (Tim Diebel) Lester, Alan (Carly) Taylor, Angela (Daniel Callihan) Taylor and Amber (Barry) Dillion as well as 3 step-sons – Chris Hatfield, Sean (Kelly) Hatfield and Adam (Kristina) Hatfield. He also leaves behind 20 grandchildren who will miss his laugh, his stories and simply having him there at all of life’s big and little events.
Mike is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Mary Taylor, his daughter Ashley and his parents, Johnny and Elizabeth Taylor.
Dad, we hope wherever the road leads you next, that it is a long, beautiful ride filled with adventure and love. We will hold our memories dear until we meet again.
Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Friday, September 11 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will begin at 12 Noon on Friday. The interment will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Mike Taylor to the Gardner Family Center for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders, online at https://foundation.uc.edu/ucgni/parkinsons
