Michael "Mike" Lochner of Cincinnati, OH, passed peacefully on June 27, 2022, at the age of 80. Born January 24, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH, after a long life enriched by family, friends, and a wonderful sense of humor, right up to until the very end.
Beloved husband of the late Nancy Lee (nee Hall) Lochner.Loving father of Susie Faircloth & Shelley (Tom) Middleton.Proud Papa of Ashton Ballew Middleton, Griffin James Middleton, and Hall Michael Middleton. Dear brother of the late Sallie (Tom) Jacobs, and Bernice (Bunny) Earhart. Cherished son of the late Claire (nee Greene) Lochner and of the late Ed Lochner.
Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including his dearest friend and Best Buddy, Herb Margolis.
His beloved late Aunt Babe Greene, had given him his passion & drive for sports. He loved reminiscing and sharing stories of his younger days playing basketball & baseball. He also enjoyed golf, tennis, & traveling. He met the love of his life, Nancy in high school & they enjoyed 20 wonderful years of wedded bliss before her passing in 1982. Mike had a long and successful career in sales that began at Olivetti, R.G. Dunn, Hasbro, The Van Huesen Company, Levi Strauss, and finally Humphrey's Inc. Mike was respected and loved by colleagues and customers for his straight shooting, creative approach and genuinely caring for his customers.
His main focus was taking such good care of his girls & grand children who he loved dearly. After retiring, he focused his attention on his triplet grandchildren, the apples of his eye. He will be greatly missed but, we are consoled knowing after waiting 40 years he & Nancy are finally reunited.
Family and Friends are invited to a service Celebrating Michael's life at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home 129 N. Riverside Dr. Loveland Thursday July 7, 2022 at 12:00 pm Noon, where friends will be received in the gathering space 11:00am until the hour of service. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, family request that memorial contributions in memory of Michael be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital
