Michael Joseph Glassmeyer of Fayetteville, OH. Born on April 30, 1932 in Loveland, OH. Entered into Eternal Life on February 12, 2016 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Jeanne (nee Moeggenberg) Glassmeyer.
Loving father of Jennifer Carroll, Katherine (Hans Wagner) Glassmeyer, Judith (Larry) Davis and Matthew (Laura Hutcheson) Glassmeyer. Dear brother of Tony Glassmeyer, Rosemary Nadeau and the late Stanley, Vincent and Eddie Glassmeyer, Ginny Smith and Jean Glenn. Cherished son of the late Stanley and Margaret (nee O'Connor) Glassmeyer. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Michael proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a designer in the power generation industry for 40 years. Carpenter, builder, electrician, plumber: he could build and fix anything. Loved nature, hiking, bird watching, boating and cheerfully accompanied his wife on numerous trips and adventures.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 17, 6 - 8 PM at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 18, 10 AM at St. Patrick's Chapel of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, 130 Stone Alley, Fayetteville, OH 45118.
Inurnment with military honors immediately following the Mass at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Michael Glassmeyer to the St. Labre Indian School, 1000 Tongue River Rd., Ashland MT 59003
Fr. Henry Albietz of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church will be the presider over Michael's Mass of Christian Burial.
