Obituary

Michael "Mike" D'Eredita was born in Belleville, New Jersey on December 15, 1966 to Joseph Frank D'Eredita, Sr. & Madeleine D'Eredita. He grew up in Kearney, New Jersey as the youngest of four children. As an avid rock climber, mountain biker, fisherman, camper, and hiker, he was known for his adventurous spirit. Through these activities he was able to make lifelong friends.

While in high school, Mike discovered his love for the print arts and began working at the age of 14. He later moved to California where he continued his career in the printing industry. During his time at various companies, he formed close bonds with the people he worked with. It was on an assigned collaborative project where he experienced love at first sight with his future wife, Anna, who he married nine months later in November 2002. Over the next four years, the two had their first child, Ka'iulani, and then their second child, Kekoa, two years after that. Any opportunity to brag about his children, he took it. He was the first face they saw in the morning when he woke them up for school and was the one who made sure all of them had dinner together no matter what. To his wife and children he had many titles: loving husband, best provider, best burger-maker, generous host, and kindest hero.

Mike offered kindness wherever he could give it. If there was a stranger in need, he would take the shirt off his back. He would do anything for his friends. When it came to moving, he was a "master" mover maximizing a moving van space like Tetris.

Mike also found family at Lahlouh, the family-owned printing and manufacturing company he worked at for 10 years. His hard work and strong work ethic earned him the role of Vice President of Manufacturing and being acknowledged by his bosses as "one of the most trusted and admired people" they know. He was lovingly known as "Mike D," the man who always bought lunch for the weekend staff. In 2021, Mike rose to the occasion when there was a need to oversee the company's Ohio plant. His adventurous nature also never let him turn down a challenge.

After a year-long battle with esophageal cancer, Mike passed away at the age of 58 at his home in Mason, Ohio on April 26, 2025 surrounded by family and friends. Through his pain and struggle in and out of the hospital, he continued to make jokes with his nurses and visitors and did silly dances with his children even when he could barely walk. He showed love and hospitality until his last breath. His resilience in the face of illness will always be remembered.

Mike's memory is carried on by his wife of 22 years Anna; their children Ka'iulani and Kekoa; his furry baby Adobo; his sister Denise (Paul) Zeitler; nephew Gerard Joseph Zeitler, nieces Nicole Marie Zeitler and Breanne Clementina (Cedarius) Avery; his brother Steve (Denise Arlene) D'Eredita; his niece Arianna Marie D'Eredita, and nephews Joseph Frank D'Eredita III, Paul Vincent D'Eredita; extended family, in-laws, and dear friends. Preceding him in peace are his parents Joseph Frank D'Eredita, Sr. and Madeleine D'Eredita and his brother Joseph Frank (Shannon) D'Eredita, Jr.
