Michael Reed
Combs
April 12, 1957 – May 1, 2026
Michael Reed Combs, born April 12, 1957, passed away on May 1, 2026.
At the center of Michael’s life was his deep and unwavering love for his wife, Tonya, the love of his life and his greatest companion. Together they shared a bond built on devotion, laughter, and enduring partnership. He was also a proud father of his two sons, Joshua Combs and Adam Combs. Michael was a devoted and generous friend, known for his loyalty, kindness, and willingness to give of himself to others.
An outdoorsman at heart, he embraced adventure and found peace in nature and on the open road. He had a deep appreciation for wildlife and a gift for mentorship, especially with young people, taking great joy in teaching children about fishing, the natural world, and the value of curiosity and respect.
For several years, Michael lived with a serious illness of unknown origin. Throughout this time, he continued to show strength, faith, and a steady spirit that reflected the way he approached all aspects of life. Michael’s faith was the foundation of his life. A loyal and faithful servant to God, he found strength and guidance in Scripture, and the Bible remained his constant companion. His belief was steadfast, shaping the way he lived, loved, and gave to others. His faith now brings comfort to those who mourn his passing.
Earlier in life, Michael answered a call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy at the age of 17, following in the footsteps of his father. His service reflected both a deep sense of duty and a desire to see the world beyond his beginnings.
He is mourned by loving family, as well as countless relatives and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, strength, and enduring spirit. Michael will be missed and forever remembered.
Services will be held at a later date.
