Melissa Jean Hoctor July 13, 1961- April 29, 2013 Preceeded in death by her parents, William (Bill) Hoctor and Veneda Rae Hoctor (Dunn), Loving sister to Robert Merrill, Chris Hoctor, Merry Jo Ford(John), Kevin Hoctor, Melody Volkman, Melinda Herbst(Robert) and Martha Hoctor. Cherished aunt to Chris Merrill, Vanessa Kersey(Merrill), Joshua Trauger, Michelle Trauger, Nicholas Volkman, Sarah Volkman, Lauren Herbst, Rebecca Herbst, and Thomas Herbst. Loved niece to Eileen and Joseph Graf(deceased), and cousin to Joe Jr(deceased), Mary Kay and Nancy Graf. Sister in law in heart to Carolyn Merrill, Blane Trauger and David Volkman. Melissa may have sewn for a living but her true talent was within her heart. The kindness she showed to those who knew her as well as those who would recently meet her was uncommon. Her rough exterior masked who she really was and all she had to offer. Never would someone be turned away from food shelter or clothing. Her heart of gold was worth more than all the gold mined or unmined ever. She celebrated life with such fervor like every day could be her last. Her spirit will live on daily within our lives and those that she touched. We ask that close family and friends please help us celebrate her life on Saturday May 4th.
