NICHWITZ Melvin "Mel" L. Beloved companion of Mildred Rineair. Loving father of Mark (Carolyn) Nichwitz, Diane Oligee and John (Elizabeth) Nichwitz. Caring grandfather of David Oligee, Chris Oligee, Andrea Nichwitz, Jennifer Nichwitz, Rachel Nichwitz and Rylee Nichwitz. Dear brother of Helen Nichwitz, Ceil Elsasser and the late Romaine Foley. Proud brother-in-law of Bill Foley. Former spouse of Marianne Nichwitz. Cherished son of the late William and Mary (nee Bruning) Nichwitz. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Mel was the owner of "The Place" at Williams Corner. He was a member of the Ohio License Beverage Association, the American Legion and the VFW. Fr. Larry Tensi of St. Columban Catholic Church will be the presiding preist for the Mass of Christian Burial for Mel Nichwitz. Pallbearers for Mel Nichwitz are: David Oligee, Chris Oligee, Matt Foley, Don Elasser, Frank Rineair and Ron Rineair.
