Mearl Wayne Chinn of Goshen, OH. Went home to be with the Lord on September 16, 2023, at the age of 82. Born on May 20, 1941, in Black Star, KY.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Brenda Joyce (nee Goode) Chinn.
Loving father of Judy (Jamie) Whitacre, Peggy (Steven) Harris, Tina (late Steve) Wooldridge and the late Mark Chinn and stillborn child, Eric Chinn.
Caring grandfather of Derek (Bree) Chinn, Jessica (Ben) Pulley, Claire Chinn, Andrea Iery, Dallas Roy, Billy (Ash) Whitacre, Sarah (Matt) Reed, Simon (Autumn) Harris, Ezra (Hannah) Harris, Abigail (James) Bishop, Anna (Malachi) Cross, Justin (Grace) Wallace, Emily Shreffler, and the late Bethany Eve Harris.
Proud great-grandfather of Gillian, Sophie and Madeline Chinn, Ruby, Everett and Rosie Pulley, Thomas Snider, Emma Dietrich, Izabell, Emmyt and Maggie Reed, Honor, Shield and Magnum PI Harris, Piper and Madeline Harris, Buchanan and Maverick Bishop.
Dear brother of Cora Waters, Robert Chinn, Ronnie Chinn and the late William Harold Chinn, Carl Chinn, Cathy Lawson and Gary Chinn.
Cherished son of the late Allmer and Nannie (nee Shepherd) Chinn.
Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
Mearl proudly served in the United States Army. He loved hunting, riding motorcycles, playing pool, NASCAR, and Muscadine wine. Mearl worked hard and provided for his family. He loved and served his church. He accepted Jesus as his Savior and would like all that read this would do the same. So one day they will meet again. He is happy, healthy and whole and will enjoy it for all eternity.
Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Saturday, September 23 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1123 St. Rt. 28, Milford, OH, where services will begin at 12 Noon. Pastor Matt Roberts officiating.
Interment, Goshen Cemetery, Goshen Township, OH.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Mearl Chinn to Calvary Baptist Church, 1123 St. Rt. 28, Milford, OH 45150.
