Obituary

Maynard Jerome Stoops of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away peacefully in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 77.

Maynard was born in Jamestown, Ohio, to the late Donald James Stoops, Sr. and Icie Jane (née Robbins) Stoops.

He was the beloved husband of Cindy (née Goodwin) Stoops, with whom he shared 36 wonderful years of marriage. Maynard was the proud father of Brian (Brittney) Stoops of Jefferson, Georgia; Jennifer Stoops of Blanchester, Ohio; Courtney (Brad) Sanders of Blanchester, Ohio; Tyler Stoops of Somerset, Kentucky; and Taylor (Amberlie) Stoops of Destin, Florida.

He was a loving grandfather to Billy Jack Tripplet, Kendra Humphries, Leland Jace Stoops, Emma Stoops, Charlotte Stoops, Joanna Marie Sanders, Delaney Lee Sanders, Clayton James Gregory, Jaxson Bruce Stoops, and Charlee Mae Stoops.

Maynard was the dear brother of Pamela Rasnic and was preceded in death by his siblings Dorothy Jean Trickey, Donald James Stoops, Jr., William “Billy” Jay Stoops, Sr., and Patricia JoAnn Osborne. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many cherished friends.

He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marines.

The family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Maynard J. Stoops be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main Street, Blanchester, Ohio. Interment will follow at Clarksville Cemetery.
