Maxine F. (nee Griffith) of Goshen, OH. Born on July 19, 1942 in Bell County, KY. Went to her Heavenly home on April 26, 2018 at the age of 75. Loving mother of Clayton (Kathy) Baker, Jr. and Misty D. Baker. Caring grandmother of Jennifer L. Baker, step-grandmother of Christina (Jeff) Cagle & family, Matt (Kara) Lucchesi & family and the late Kaitlin Lucchesi. Also survived by several special sisters and brothers-in-law, beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her faithful canine companion Scarlett. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Baker, Sr.; parents, Daniel and Leoda Griffith; brothers, Daniel Jr. and Fred Griffith; sisters, Lyn Block, Pauline Hensley, Christine Mills, Edna Saylor, June Blakley, Mary Goodin and Shannon Griffith and other cherished loved ones who all welcomed her to her "cabin in the corner of Gloryland." Maxine was enormously proud of her Southeastern Kentucky roots and loved to cook the foods she grew up on. Many enjoyed the fruits of her labor through the years. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden, sewing and crocheting. Friends will be received from 6 PM - 8 PM on Friday, May 4 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, where services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 10 AM. Interment, Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206 or to any animal rescue organization. Rev. Charlie Newberry and Rev. Doug Newberry will be the ministers for Maxine's services.
