Mary Frances Kinsman Isburgh, 93, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022 at the Anthology of Mason assisted living facility near Cincinnati, OH.
Born October 24, 1928, in Amsterdam, NY, the daughter of Daniel F. Kinsman and Clara Quaif Kinsman. A graduate of W.H. Lynch High School class of 1946 in Amsterdam, she was class Secretary and Treasurer, and served on many reunion committees throughout the years. She graduated from Keuka College class of 1950 with a Bachelor's Degree and worked at Columbia College, NYC, prior to her marriage to Donald K. Isburgh on June 16, 1951. After residing in Scranton and Philadelphia, PA, they moved to Amsterdam in 1955. She was a secretary and homemaker prior to being associated with her husband in the operation of Amsterdam Oil Heat Corp. from 1965 to 1985, serving as vice-president and secretary, and thereafter, employed by J.H. Buhrmaster Co. until 1991.
A member of St. Ann's Episcopal Church, she served on the Altar Guild and was a member of the Episcopal Church Women. Also active in the community, she was member and past President and Treasurer of the Children's Aid Association of Montgomery County, NY, former charter member of the Amsterdam Lionettes, member of the Sanford Adult Home Board, the Amsterdam Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and Art-Wel Chapter No. 208, Order of the Eastern Star.
Music was a great interest during her life and she enjoyed playing her cello through high school, college, in the Amsterdam Little Symphony, Mohawk Valley Symphony, and in a Trio with friends.
Survived by two sons, Robert K. Isburgh (wife Anne) of Loveland, OH, and Andrew N. Isburgh (wife Sarah) of Conyers, GA, three grandsons, Jonathan D. Isburgh of Jacksonville, FL, Nicholas K. Isburgh of San Jose, CA, and Dane K. Isburgh (wife Sarah) of West Chester, OH, sister-in-law Carolyn V. McCoy (husband Dan) of Santa Fe, NM, cousin David Bradley (wife Brenda) of Pawhaton, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Zion Episcopal Church followed by interment at Sylvan Lawn Cemetery in Greene, NY, at a later date.
