Mary Emma (nee Donohoo) Gilbert, 95 of Blanchester, OH. Born February 20, 1917 in Blanchester, OH and passed away March 12, 2012 in Blanchester, OH. Loving daughter of the late Harry A. Donohoo and Gladys M. (nee Goodwin) Donohoo. Dear wife of the late William N. Gilbert for 60 years. Mary and her husband farmed their family farm in the Second Creek community for more than 50 years. Caring mother of Carol L. (Ralph) Abt of Blanchester, OH and the late Steven Gilbert. Proud grandmother of Kimberly (James) West, Shari (Chad) Barber, Kevin (Shannon) Abt and Rachel Gilbert and great grandmother of Cameron West, Zachary West, Trenton Barber, Taylor Barber, Madison Abt and Brynn Abt. Beloved sister of the late John Donohoo. Mary was a member of Blanchester Senior Citizens, Eastern Star Cary Chapter #221, Clinton Co. Farm Bureau, Second Creek United Methodist Church, Blanchester Garden Club, Clinton Co. Pork Producers Women's Group and enjoyed gardening and cooking and loved her family. Friends received from 6-8 PM on Wednesday March 14, 2012 at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107, where services will be held at 10 AM Thursday March 15, 2012 with Rev. Gerald Duecker officiating also at the funeral home.
