After a long illness and surrounded by her loving family, Mary passed away on March 27, 2018 at the age of 88 in Loveland, OH. Born November 18, 1929 in Albany, New York Mary married her high school sweetheart Walter P Gallipeau on October 7, 1950 in Rutland, Vermont .They resided in West Rutland until moving to Vero Beach, Florida in 1978 where Mary worked as a telephone operator and became an avid baseball fan of the then Los Angeles Dodgers. For many years Mary worked in Dodger town for the Dodgers. She so loved her baseball! Shortly after her husbands passing in September 29, 1984, Mary moved to Annapolis, MD to live with her daughter Judy and her husband Glenn to help care for their infant son Erik. Mary lived with Judy, Glenn, & Erik for the last twenty-six years of her life. Mary relished living with them and considered caring for Erik a labor of love as Erik cherished her as his "Nanny". Mary was always so kind and welcoming to Eriks school friends. They called her "Nanny" as well. Everyone in Loveland knew and loved her as their "Nanny". Mary would often travel to Florida and Texas to visit her children and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home located at 129 Riverside Drive, Loveland, OH, Thursday April 12, 2018. from 6:00pm until 8:00pm In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital in her name. Mary Gallipeau was completely unselfish, loving, self-denying, warm hearted, and giving, an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and human being. Mary was greatly loved by her children, grandchildren, son-in-laws, and daughter-in-law alike. We were all very fortunate to have had Mary Gallipeau as an integral part of our lives. She will be sadly missed, but always greatly loved and never forgotten. Funeral Home: Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center - Loveland 129 Riverside Drive Loveland, OH US 45140
