Mary Katherine Dougherty, 59, of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 21, 2024.

She was the beloved daughter of Goldie and the late James Dougherty; dear sister of James Dougherty and Katherine (Dougherty) Mullins; loving aunt of Isaac Mullins, Elliot Mullins, and Sage Mullins; Mary is survived by numerous friends, family, and loved ones.

Mary was a graduate of Blanchester High School class of 1983. She retired from the IRS. She was the co-worker that everyone could count on for help. Mary was an active participant in animal rescue missions transporting animals across states to their forever homes. Mary was a loyal daughter, sister, cousin, and friend that would stand by you for support and if needed, a battle. She will be greatly missed.

Friends will be received from 5-7 PM on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, Ohio.

The funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Tufts Schildmeyer-Goshen.

Interment will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, Ohio.
