Mary Elizabeth Cooper, 92 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday May 28th, 2023, after a long battle with dementia, at the Laurels of Blanchester Nursing Home in Blanchester, Ohio. She was briefly under the care of Via Quest Hospice. She was born June 6, 1930, in Greenwood Kentucky to Joseph Alford and Dora Alice (Kidd) Solomon.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Edward Cooper, her son James Ray "Jim" Cooper, infant son Joe Edward, eight brothers Arlin Earnest Solomon, Charlie Herbert Solomon, Andrew Paul Solomon, William Marshall Solomon, Albert Solomon, Luther Artman Solomon, George Lee Solomon, Joseph Emanuel Solomon; three sisters Gracie Mae (Solomon) Helton, Lillie Frances Solomon, and Opal Virginia (Solomon) Stephens, grandson George Edward Brown and sons-in-law Jerry Wayne Weddle and William Roy Brown.
Mary is survived by her daughters Bonnie (Roger) King of Midland, Ohio, Virginia Ann (Andrew "Andy") Wilder of Loveland, Ohio, Mary "Sue" Weddle of Milford, Ohio, Connie Brown of Florence, Kentucky, and Carol (Jesse) Francis of Cincinnati, Ohio. Grandchildren - Kevin King, Kimberly "Kim" Vance, Michelle Wilder, Jason Wilder, Tina Weddle, David Weddle, Lisa Weddle, Amy Brown, William Brown, Stephen Brown, Brittany Brown, and Michael Schneider as well as numerous great grandchildren and two great-great grandsons.
Mary was a lifelong housewife and mother. She loved spending time with her children, and grandchildren. She was a good Christian woman and loved going to church on Sundays. Her favorite pastimes were listening to gospel music, watching soap operas and old westerns.
Friends will be received from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 1668 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, with funeral services following at 12 Noon. Officiating will be Pastor Phil Hopper.
Interment, Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH.
