Mary Ellen Blevins passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 83.

Mary was born in Accoville, West Virginia to her parents Charley Ersel Dickerson and Geneva Lee (Milligan) Dickerson on September 28, 1942.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Bueford Blevins Jr.; her siblings: Charles Dickerson, Billy Jack Dickerson Sr., Ersel Dickerson, James Dickerson; her in-laws: Sandra Lee Adkins Dickerson, Charlotte Padgett, Gail Conley, Doris Dickerson, Berma Dickerson, Sam Blevins and her nephews: Todd Dickerson, Travis Blevins, and Greg Blevins.

Mary graduated from Man High School in 1960 and moved to Cleveland for work. She married Bueford on September 10, 1961, in Becco, West Virginia. Together, they lived a full and adventurous life traveling the country and creating homes for themselves wherever the Air Force sent them. They eventually settled down in North Pole, Alaska in 1978 where Mary enjoyed her hobbies; bowling, camping, fishing, and reading. Retirement found Mary and Bueford moving from North Pole, Alaska after 19 amazing years to Springville, Tennessee where they would be closer to family and friends. Mary sold the farm in Tennessee and moved back to Ohio in 2014.

Mary is survived by her daughters: Denise (Gary) Thacker, and Cherlyn Blevins; her grandchildren: Ellora Hawes, Zachary Thacker, and Lucas (Jess) Thacker; her great-grandchild: Esme Cosio; her siblings: Tom (Sheila) Dickerson, Carolyn Vance, and David Dickerson; and her in-laws: Vicky Dickerson, Linda Dickerson, and Bobby (Julia) Blevins.

The family would like to thank the staff at Magnolia Springs and Queen City Hospice for their loving care and support.

Funeral services were held at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home located in Blanchester, Ohio with Pastor Michael Miller officiating. Interment took place at Dayton National Cemetery, alongside her beloved "Junie" in Dayton, Ohio.
